Offshore Cobia Fishing with Epic Shark Action

Josh and Dr. Robert Borrego headed offshore to go fishing for cobia. We started off the day fishing for sardines and bonito (we needed the bonito to chum up the sharks). The bonito were so thick, it was a challenge to get a live sardine into the boat. The goliath groupers chased nearly every bonito we hooked! After catching several dozen live bait and a few bonito, we changed locations and headed further offshore to the cobia wreck. Within minutes of chumming we saw our first cobia. The cobia bite was on fire! We caught our limit within the first 2 hours of fishing. In total, we saw over 15 cobia swimming around the boat. After catching our limit of cobia, we decided to have some fun with the bonito and bull sharks. The shark action was just epic! One bull shark smashed the boat with it’s tail while chasing a bonito! Overall, it was an incredible day of fishing!
