You’ll get change from a tenner with this rope, and though it isn’t a speed rope per se it can rotate quickly and feels consistently smooth.

Amonax’s patented funnel technology reduces friction between the rope and the handles, and supposedly prolongs the lifetime of the product by up to three times when compared to a conventional skipping rope. Its design certainly prevents the rope from tangling.

All in all, the Amonax is a solid, comfortable rope for all levels. Its rotations are seamless and its 4mm rope – with strong steel wire coated in a high-density PU material – makes it resilient to abrasive outdoor flooring.

The handles are made from shatterproof plastic and coated in memory foam, making for some of the comfier skipping rope handles we’ve held. Those handles are quite long, too, offering a secure grip and making it easy to adjust between tricks.

Changing the length of this 3.1m rope is achieved by simply unscrewing the handles and moving the rope length adjuster, so there’s minimal fuss, and the wire is light and packs away easily.
