Another set of compression leggings that feature the magic Celliant fabric, the Under Armour Rush Smartform compression tights harness Far Infrared (FIR) technology to boost post-workout recovery.

Like the Kymira Recharge leggings, the mineral-infused fabric reflects your body’s heat and energy to help fight off workout fatigue and reduce recovery times. Mimicking the effects of infrared saunas, the fabric boosts blood flow and increase muscle oxygen levels.

By reflecting ‘heat’ deeper into the muscles, it’s also supposed to regulate your body temperature better in cold conditions without causing overheating.

Better suited to training than as pure recovery tights, the Rush Smartform are some of the most comfortable compression tights we tested, in the gym and out running on the roads. They don’t offer medical-grade compression but they hug tight to support muscles without constricting.

Strategic panels provide support and flexibility in the right areas. That includes well-placed mesh on the knees and in the gusset to offer added air circulation. The tights also have a sculpted pouch to keep your important bits cool, safe and supported.

Up top they sport a big, wide, flat waistband that doesn’t curl or cut into your waist. The elasticated ankle cuffs keep the legs firmly in place, making these easy tights to layer over.

We were also impressed by how quick-drying they were. You can do a session in these, slip a pair of tracksuit bottoms over the top and travel home without feeling damp, cold or uncomfortable.

There’s a single deep, stretchy mesh pocket on the right thigh that can hold a large smartphone and a few gels without them bouncing around. It’s one of a handful of features that makes the Rush Smartform tights ideal for long outdoor endurance sessions, when comfort, compression and refuelling are all considerations.
