Alyeska’s Lewd Snow Drawing Causes Tizzy
A few pranksters turned heads high above Alaska’s biggest resort this week, leaving a rather phallic piece of snow art in Tea Cup Bowl for early morning patrons. Understandably, Alyeska’s ski patrol was less than enthused but may have created a stickier situation trying to rub out the problem. As a quick fix, the redcoats caught helicopters from Chugach Heli Guides to access and beat down the masterpiece with ski boots, pole whacks, and diagonal ski lines. Not exactly subtle, but hey, neither was the artwork.
a collection of images of the alyeska penis, before and after ski patrol attempted to stomp it out (ahem: added hair)
FYI, it’s about a 3000’ hike to gain this ridgeline. someone truly committed to the bit. legendary. pic.twitter.com/z5l4FYKbeP

Ukrainian Ski Resort Opens to Provide Wartime Escape
Bukovel is Ukraine’s largest ski resort, but this year the area symbolizes more than just a few good runs with friends. In an effort to provide an escape from the daily toils of war stretching into its second year, the resort has decided to stay open, saying that skiing provides a sense of normalcy for its clientele in a day-to-day that is currently anything but.
The casual observer will notice that almost all the skiers are women and children, as Ukrainian men are either directly involved in the armed forces or are supporting the war effort in different capacities. Sadly, even a reprieve from war is never far from reality, as some of the resort’s hotels have been converted to house refugees and wounded soldiers. Our hearts are with the people of Ukraine and the people that are continuing to find joy in a country’s darkest hour.
Instagram Follow of the Week: California Highway Patrol (@chp_truckee)
It’s no secret that the Sierra has been getting walloped by snow and that, frankly, these storms are causing more harm than good at this point. That being said, California Highway Patrol out of Truckee has turned travel woes into some pretty entertaining content, explaining its work to the backdrop of classic cuts from Run DMC, REO Speedwagon, and more to remind drivers that travel is less than ideal right now. You have to appreciate this kind of humor under pressure. Keep doing you, CHP, we salute you.

The Saucer Boy ‘pro model’ is set to make its debut at the annual Pain McShlonkey this month where proceeds go to support the Shane McConkey Foundation. Good vibes all around.
