East Coast Pow Party!

Ok, Tahoe may be digging out its chairlifts and Alta is on course to break its single-season snowfall record, but last week the East Coast was invited to the pow party in a big way, as a true Nor’Easter bashed New York and interior New England. After Anna Soens was paralyzed from the waist down in a 2015 climbing fall, her action sports journey looked as if it had taken a backseat. But, after years of therapy and training, Soens has not only resumed climbing as an adaptive athlete but became the first female adaptive athlete to log a heli-descent when she dropped into the backcountry near Girdwood, Alaska in 2021. A new video by the Kelly Brush Foundation documents her journey back to the top.

Somewhere John Mayer sheds a single tear for the new kid in town.
