Meet Yvo Goddé of Rancho Pinto

If you’re not meeting interesting people when you travel, then you should just stop traveling because you’ll meet interesting people everywhere you go if you’re cool, listen to what people have to say, and just respect ’em.

I’ve been to lots of places and always meet interesting people and Yvo was no exception. He’s a former truck driver from Belgium, living in the northern part of the Dominican Republic (Puerto Plata) for over 10 years, meeting his Dominican wife within 3 months and launching their horse back riding business shortly thereafter. They’re still married and their business has continued to thrive.

There’s just one thing. He literally never stops talking. And his repertoire of corny jokes is pretty extensive. I mean, he’s super sincere and down-to-earth, but even mosquitos left him alone for fear of being talked to death. Well, since he didn’t stop talking, I took out my camera and this is what came out.

This is an interview with interesting Dutchman Yvo Goddé of Rancho Pinto on Wednesday May 16, 2018.
