We take gear testing seriously at Outside. Every year, with the help of dozens of testers, we test hundreds of products. Our goal is to keep you informed about the best items in the outdoor world so you can make the most of your time outside. These reviews come in many forms, from our bi-annual Buyer’s Guides to our robust online coverage to our highly curated newsletters.
But we don’t always get it right. Maybe we missed covering a new hardshell you were really intrigued by; maybe you disagree with our advice on on how to repair your sleeping pad; maybe we left you wanting more context or detail in our seasonal ski coverage.
