Is Jackson Hole the new TV drama capital?
White Lotus has already announced the filming of its third season in Wyoming’s glitziest ski town, and this week the co-writers of Sex and the City confirmed that they are working on a new series for Amazon Studios titled Teton. All of this drama in the 307 has us begging the question: Is the Mecca of Extreme Skiing now the Capital of Ski Town Dramas? I’ll confess, I’m here for all the Teton tea and excited to see this thing come to life. I mean, a down-and-out ski racer named Kick Taylor crash-landing in one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country? My popcorn is already buttered. Hold the salt.
Owen Leeper Points em Straight off Cody
After a downright harrowing avalanche crash earlier this season, Owen Leeper is back at it in the Jackson backcountry. In a video drop this week, the Teton titan points ‘em straight down 40-degree “Twice is Nice” off of Cody Peak. Holy damplitude, my dude. Glad you’re back on skis, and remembered to crank those DINs.

Year after year, Swatch Nines (formerly Audi Nines) serves up one of the most creative park builds in skiing. From multi-layered jumps to endless transitions to this year’s mid-park skate bowl, Nines is a celebration of inventiveness and uniquity that just seems like a damn good time. This time around was no exception, with one of the event’s biggest parks to date and a squad highlighted by Max Moffat and adaptive skier Jay Rawe. At 11 minutes, this edit comes in on the long side, but man, does it have me missing ski season already.
Mammoth bike park might not open because of too much snow
Welp, it turns out that logging over 700 inches of snow in a single season has a few repercussions, just ask Mammoth Mountain. This week the Southern California resort’s bike park announced that it may not be able to open this year due to too much snow. That’s right, the crew may be in for an extended and even indefinite vacation this season as the ski resort has enough snow to stay open until late July, leaving single track buried and out of service. Wild.
